  • Have you ever seen something so many times that it has become old, boring, or just plain, then experience it again under a new light and it's suddenly new again?

I went to school in Boulder and lived by the Pearl Street mall, a place often occupied by street performers of all kinds. The people almost become part of the city fabric, with my friends referring to them as landmarks no different from the stores they perform in front of.

When I first took a walk in Barcelona, a place where everything was different and new, my friends and I came across a street performer, and the experience of seeing him was suddenly new again. It is awesome how much you can get out of being in a new place. It doesn't just allow you to experience a new place and culture, but it lets you rediscover the world you have been so accustomed to.
