  • We were on the beach a few days after Thanksgiving. It was freezing cold and there were patches of snow in the sand. I had the same strange feeling when I used spend Christmas in Miami. Palm trees and caroling somehow don't go together just like beaches and fall foliage.

    What I like about this picture is that it puts me in enough of a strange place that the contrast of juxtaposing worlds come together, in a way. It also reminds me that things sometimes overlap in beautiful ways, especially when their happy accidents.
