  • I was asked by a group leader to paint an angel that would look down, blessing guests walking into the dining hall at the retreat where I was living.

    I painted this angel of peace. Some people who regularly used the room complained that they should have been informed and that they prefered a swirling colour rather than a conventional representation of an angel.

    So she is still on my wall at home.

    I mainly wanted to show innocence on her face.
