  • A couple of years ago a dear friend requested one of my crop circle calendars to send to her sister in North Dakota...a sister I have never met.

    Some months later my friend and I went to lunch. Toward the end of our time together she said, "I have something in the car for you. It was too big to bring into the restaurant. It's a gift from my sister."

    Blew me away! Somehow her sister had scanned each of the artistic images from that year's calendar onto fabric. Then she used them as the pattern to make a quilt for me.

    As I type this in the early morning chill, I have the quilt wrapped around me.
