Today in 9 words: "Hi there, would you like to enter our competition?"
Never mind the fact that I don't fall under the category of "our", I persist, asking face after face after nameless face the same question until I can predict the exact intonation which my voice will follow with each word. Each time I ask, I try to read people's eyes to guess if they can tell how many times I've asked the same question...1, 13, 56, 102, and then I lost count, to coincide with the moment when all I could see anymore was one blurred image, a faceless face.
A day filled with commas and no full stops.
