  • There are some places where I have been to enough times that I have the snow globe market covered, where I tell people not to buy me any. After living there and visiting there many times, San Francisco is one of those places.

But one night, on a random bored internet surf, I found a San Francisco snow globe I did not have or had never seen before, the San Francisco gay marriage snow globe. It was more expensive than your average snow globe, but I snapped it up! The happy couple walking out of SF City Hall, with this poem on the back –

    into the darkness
    fall a snowflake
and the song of the nightingale

    Where else but San Francisco?
