  • What do I know of love?

I know it makes everything around it bright

it grows bigger as you give it

it finds you when you least expect it

it clarifies, sets all in order

while, like the fog lifting, births the world anew

it wasn't until I found it again

that i realized how I had lost it before

    it needs to be revisited

set just so each day and sometimes twice

it grows with talk and laughter

and like a plant without sun, it withers in silence

    with it anything becomes possible

and without it nothing seems worth reaching for

    we use it too loosely

for things like hot dogs and chocolates

and forget to use it when it matters most
