  • i sometimes need to remind myself to just keep making stuff. because it's the process, the generation, that's the important thing.

this afternoon, i went out to the old barn behind the house. the two farm cats and our scraggly black dog followed me down. i thought i might get to hear spring wind gusts shift the ancient boards. or at least maybe catch the quick scratching and shuffles of the animals wrestling. but i sat there and i listened, and aside from those pristine moments of simple attention, nothing much happened.

next time maybe i'll drop one of the cats into an old tin box and let him try to escape. create some sonic tension.

we bring all our own drama to the table, anyway.
