  • "Do you want to have a coffee?" he asked.
"Are you sure. I don't have a meeting until 1000."
"No, I want to go for a run. I haven't run this week and now I have to run three days in a row to make up for it."
He knew better than to tell her that she didn't need to run.
    "How about lunch?"
"Don't you have to work?" She looked over at him.
"You don't want to spend time with me?"
    "Gareth....Stop it."
"I just want to be a part of your life Brielle. Why is that so difficult for you."
"It's difficult because... I already told you why."
"I'm sorry Brielle, you need to explain.."
"You fucked her and lied about it!" She screamed as tears fell down her cheeks making her even more angry.
"Why can't we ever just have a discussion without you screaming," he hissed.
"Because I want to scream! She could hear her voice vibrating through the neighborhood. She'd lost control of herself and she hated losing control. She closed her eyes and pressed her fists into her eyeballs.
    "Just shut up." Brielle said.
"I have things to do today and now I'm thinking of her and you and what an idiot I am."
"Just give me another chance Brielle, don't give up on me."
"I've tried giving you another chance. For three years I've been giving you chances but, I still don't trust you. I have no way of knowing when you are telling me the truth. I don't even think you know when you are telling the truth.
