  • Growing up i never really knew what i wanted in life, maybe be a doctor or even an architect, but that was all too complicated for me. I never really thought i was all that smart, always struggling in school and having to deal with everyday struggles. My mom struggles with alcoholism and my dad died when i was only 8 years old, since then i lived with my grandpa and its been hard, but i manage to keep calm and live my life. I take care of my little sister when she comes up to my house, shes only 4. Going to school everyday sometimes gets hard, and the work here at Red Cloud is hard, but i guess that's a good thing..

A lot of people here on the Pine Ridge Reservation turn to alcohol, its not a good thing because they eventually become drunks; stuck here. Kids as young as ten years old smoke and drink, i don't know if its because they think they're cool or what, but its really bad here. When i get older, even graduate i want too leave this place forever, there's too many robberies, drugs, alcohol etc.. I guess its like that everywhere, but here its in this small little community and it gets really bad,
