  • The game of golf is a rather simple game. Take your club, swing, keep your body in perfect harmony with every movement your body makes. If one finds how the game works, then one completes the goals of the game. But being good at this game of golf has it's differences whether you live out off the reservation or not; and I just happen to live on the reservation.

    The people on this reservation are my people. I am Lakota, and I think that's what the majority race focuses on when I am at these "up-town" golf tournaments when I step up to the tee. With every shot i take, whether it be a good or bad shot, they continue to look down on me. Them with all of their high priced clubs, and pro-golf instructors help going against little me, a 5'6 Pine Ridge reservation residential with a hand (and mind) for golf. With the odds against me, I feel that I have something to prove.
