  • My sixteen year old daughter travelled with me on a bus to attend Speech Day (prize giving and end of year speech giving). We were a bit late and it was pouring with rain. As I descended from the bus I lost my balance and would have fallen on the ground, if my daughter had not grasped me firmly by my right elbow. It took me ten steps before I regained my balance and I was, therefore, flailing around, movind parallel to the ground.

I finally managed to stand up properly. When we finally arrived at the school reception I told my daughter it was amazing that she was able to keep me from falling on my face. She said, "I didn't want you to arrived covered in mud in front of all my teachers".
