  • Today we found that all of the seeds we planted has sprouted. The lettuce and the chives grow bold and fast, the tomato sprouts dignified and straightforward. The parsley and nasturtium just barely visible yet.

    But boldest and tallest are the relishes. We discovered that all of their leaves are little hearts. Little heart-shaped promises.

    And the air tonight. It's a damp smell of moist soil, rapidly cooling down after a day in the sun. You just know that the leaves on the trees will start showing within days now.
