  • I was putting Cajun out before we headed out to catch a morning showing of the Hunger Games, when I noticed the command performance that was taking place right in my back yard. I've heard them tuning up and the occasional solo performance for the past few weeks, warming up for this moment - distinctive individual songs ringing out from high up in the greening crowns of our backyard symphony hall.

But this morning - my God, it was brilliant how all of those individual performances were blending together in perfect timing and harmony. As you stood and listened to this brilliant collaboration, you could begin to anticipate when a certain individual riff would kick in from above left, or another from way off to the lower right, amid the hundreds of different songs all blending into the unique symphony. A command performance!
