  • I spent a day photographing a crew harvesting bananas in Tenerife last week. This small island produces 1/3 of the world's bananas, and it is all done by hand in the same way as a century before. A fascinating process brings those yummy yellow fruits to market.

    I never thought about how we got the bananas I eat, but now that I know, I say a little thank you to Menolo and his crew before I strip the fruit of its coat.
