  • Inside the shoe factory, everything was about craftsmanship:

    - A few years ago, we went to China to produce our shoes, but due to the quality problems, we had to come back. Now we want our shoes to be made with love in Spain.

The great story was already there, so I was just an explorer trying to unveil the beauty inside the brand.

At a certain point, the product manager told me:

    - You know? Our shoes are "super normal". Just standard shoes for standard people, comfortably designed and somehow cool.

That was very interesting, because they were selling thousands of shoes, in Australia, Europe, The States, Brazil... Somehow, the world is plenty of supernormal people and a few of them are wearing supernormal shoes made with love in Spain.

Now that brands tell us to be unique, super special and happy all the time, I love the concept of being supernormal, able to recognize all the beauty things that we all have in common, instead of looking for what makes us different all the time.

Furthermore, our life is plenty of supernormal, small designs that make our lives better: The espresso machine, a bed, some jeans, the hair band, a towel.

During the last two years, most of the very talented people I have met were supernormal: modest, easygoing, collaborative, curious, lovely people: It was as if they knew that the world was much bigger than themselves and therefore they were wearing the right human size, the one that suits them most.

I have the feeling that being supernormal makes us become very special.
