  • Everyone's saying how unusual this is - summer heat, in March. Our office cooling tower's broken, so we work in 30C, and complain about how hot we are.

    It's hard to think, and we have to think to work... but if I didn't have to think, I'd love this heat. It soaks through my skin and seeps into my bones, chilled and brittle from the Canadian winter.

    My friend M----- says the heat opens us up. We clench ourselves so long and so hard from the cold, that when the warmth finally comes, it's like a release.

    If I weren't so mistrusful - afraid the blossoms will die in a sudden, snap frost - I'd embrace heat like a lover...
