  • Eggs sitting in the bowl waiting to become what they were intended to be. So simple to be an egg, clear and not clear. Dense and yellow and gloopy yolk versus the clear and sticky and impossible to retrieve white. Two sides of the same person. Eggs. They were created on a massive farm by massive chickens massively clucking and laying this perfect food to be. WIll this be an omelet carefully folded over herbs and cheese? Will this gathering of albumen become the foundation for the most crunchy breaded schnitzel? Will it succumb to sugar and flour and end up a rich and satisfying dessert?

If only we could be so easily converted to something nourishing. Here we are sitting and and waiting but we wonder what were we intended to be? We too are clear and not clear. But our clarity leads to confusion and our lack of clarity leads to rash decisions. Our end may not ever satisfy anyone, our contributions may not come out well. If only the perfect amount of sugar and flour could convert our apprehensions and doubts to the perfect course of satisfaction.
