  • This is just to say that I'm grateful for cowbird. But I also curse it a bit...there are some story-tellers here that are so gifted that I feel like I've really gotten a glimpse of the wonderful, thoughtful, magical people they are...yet they have to remain utter mysteries and I can't know them more personally or privately.

    Maybe it's a little bit like love, to want (or even have the delusion of needing) to be closer to someone desperately but knowing this is also impossible. That kind of intimacy is beyond us, since even the real is mostly imaginary, and our imaginations, for all their glories, are cruelly limited.

    Nevertheless, thank you.
