  • We were in the back of a cab after a sketchy bus ride to downtown Wilmington, Delaware. We both stopped regularly riding in cars years ago, when we made switched to cities and public transportation; we were nauseous in the back of the cab from the bus stop to the hotel. Wind helped calm the uncomfortable heat in my head, and as I looked over at her, with the wind blowing in her hair and a smile on her face, I knew, one day, I'd marry her.
