  • In Chicagoland Spring comes in mid to late April and is cool and damp. Frost continues through May and sometimes June. Last year I was covering up my seedlings in early June with blankets to protect them from the cold.

Yesterday I shot these fully developed daffodils in my front lawn. They were up mid-March due to 80 degree temperatures and spring rains; an unheard of early season.

I am excited and can't wait to plant the vegetables. Bring it on Mother Nature. Bring it on.
