  • While painting my girls study desk I realized how I've embraced Pink. I see it everywhere now. My wife and I were in Target and I picked up no less than three things for the girls room just because they were Pink.

"Honey put those back. They don't need (pink) umbrellas, we live in LA".

I picked out Butterfly decals, Pink bedding, and a "Girls Rock" sign in Pink – complete with rhinestones. My wife and I are adopting sisters. Jem and Julia are 9 and 10 years old and declared their favorite color early. I love Pink now, I can't help myself.

Painting their desks I thought of my dad and how much he would have enjoyed his new grand daughters – and how Pink would have been his new favorite color too.
