  • Milan has a subway that to me is a kind of teleport. You go in somewhere and you go out somewhere else, but the two places don't belong to the same space. So when you climb on the automatic stairs you are entering the teleporting machine. While in the train people are like a bunch of anxious particles that will melt together again when spitted out at the next stop.
    Lately I've been said by a friend she had long thought the only city with a subway in Italy was Milan, that's what I call an helpless city.
