  • This is a photo of my Harvard Legal Aid Bureau Clinical Instructor J. Verner Moore in what I consider his most natural environment—a cabin in the woods warmed only by a wood-burning stove. Verner always seemed to be coming back to the law school campus fresh from a fishing or camping or hiking trip. I have to say, I really envied him. While he was away fishing, I was stuck in the law library studying. During my third year in law school, Verner even caught some rare, water-borne disease from just such a trip. He was out for weeks from this thing. Serves him right!
