  • I knew a full moon was coming up that night and I knew right where it would be rising over the islands. So I took a five-minute drive from my home, down toward the mouth of the harbor for some creative trespassing.

As I came around the corner of the new, large and obviously unoccupied summer home, there was the moon right where I expected it to be, blood red.

All I added into the silence was "Jesus."

It took me a minute or two to get the camera secured on top of the tripod with the right lens. The color changed but here it is...that simple.

What I like about this is the quiet. The mosquitoes had a great feeding time while I was there. Except for them, this was all mine.

After the fact I learned that the owners of the property call their home Moontide.

Some things are just meant to be.
