  • The Clyfford Still Museum opened in Denver a few months ago and last weekend we decided that we would make a trek out of it. Bryce, Matt and Sean, aspiring architects, were enthralled with every inch of the building. Just being inside the Still museum gives you such a feeling of serenity and joy. Clyfford Still's works were enormous and intriguing and we spent a long while in this small museum.
Afterward we ventured over to the Museum of Contemporary Art, another we'd had yet to see. The exterior of it and the buildings around it drew us in, however we were quickly disappointed. The interior of the building is overwhelming and dwarfs you as you walk through. In the open hallways you can't help but get a sense of vertigo as you peer down. The 'art' in the building made us uncomfortable, we cringed.
We finally made it to the roof, by far the best part of the MCA. Where we found an overlook of LoDo, a playroom, and a hip cafe.
