  • A semi-truck got stuck underneath a bridge right outside of my building because it was a little too tall. It was there for hours. Traffic couldn’t move down the street and the truck was wedged tightly, not budging. The street soon filled with cops, fire trucks, flashing lights. Kids perched on the curb to see the show. I watched all the commotion from a friend’s room and tried to pick out the truck driver from all the people in the street. I think I figured out who it was. He had gray hair and a jacket that reminded me of one my dad often wears. I wished I could go outside and give him a hug.
