  • A couple of months ago I saw a woman on the news who was telling her story about being raped. The man who raped her popped up on her Facebook account one day. She was so shocked. Part of her wanted to confront him and post on his wall how what he did was wrong and how he made her feel. She ended up friending him and confronted him privately. I was so amazed that this woman could talk on live TV in front of everyone about what happened to her without getting angry or crying. She was so courageous and confident. I thought, I would like to feel like that one day.

I still can't talk about what happened to me. And I wonder if that's ok. But, I realize what I'm doing is trying to belittle it. And what happened to me is not ok. And no one should have to face that. So I have some work to do on anger and guilt. I have a lot of work to do, but I'll get there.
