Taking pictures consumes my life. Im always looking for the exact moment I should to click the shutter.
When I do, the image is finished, complete: no going back. Time: the 60th of a second for the shutter
Painting is new, it is slow, it is meticulous. I'll work for hours to get the image right.
I take my time, change directions, add subtleties, play with imaginary light.
To transform a picture into a painting, is to undo time, and rewrite it as you see fit.
I photographed my lates painting before shutting the lights out im my studio for the night.
An entire day to one image.
