  • Written in dedication to my friends Brian and Amanda Collins, after 12 years of being married at the court house, they finally had their official wedding in Dublin Sept. 3, 2011

If I had to do it all over again, it is you that I would choose to be my partner in life.

It is you that I would choose to walk down the path of life with because I know that what ever comes our way, you will hold my hand and be there for me.

It is your face that I want to see sleeping next to me when I open my eyes and take a breath on a new day.

It is your smile that I want to see when I come home, your voice I want to hear when life separates us, and your laugh that makes me smile.

If I had to do it all over again, it is you that I would choose.

It is you, who when I close my eyes, I see your light of love shinning through me.

It is you, who when I close my eyes, I can feel your hand interlaced in mine, I know every line drawn by God on your hand.

It is you, who when I close my eyes, I feel your warm embrace of your arms around me when I need comforting.

It is you who I choose because it is you who is imprinted on my soul, a gift given to me by the Beloved to grow old with.

You are my friend, my confidant, my teacher, my lover, my partner.

If I had to do it all over again, it is you that I would choose to be my partner in life.
I know that whatever comes our way, whether it is laughter or tears, smiles or screams, new adventures or a comfy couch, you will be there with me.
It is you that I choose.
