  • I couldn't sleep last night, so I got up and started painting. I was painting a self-portrait of sorts (the kind where I don't look at the real me, but only inside at my memories). I used to live in a house with hanging gardens and lots and lots of lovely fuchsias. I've already painted several others of these. The painting was relaxing and I fell asleep right in the painting and woke up with paint all over my hands, face and clothes.
  • The background is the paper towel upon which I was wiping my brushes. The medium is gouache. The image is small. 5 1/4 by 4 1/4.
