Thank you for sharing your life, Susan. It's been more than four years since we encountered each other on Cowbird. My good fortune.

I am echoing your image as a way of praying for healing.

The votive was a gift from a dear friend who has lived with leukemia for more years than I can say. She is now 69.

The Madonna was a gift from a sister in the order of The Sisters of The Humility of Mary in Ohio. When I was doing some work with them years ago, I interviewed several of the older sisters who were then in their seventies and eighties about what humility meant to them. When I interviewed the sister who gave me The Madonna I had my adolescent son with me. Somehow the three of us connected. Some weeks after our visit with her sent us a box full of her treasures. This beautiful wooden Madonna was among them. Imagine.

So...with these gifts I have received from two wonderful women in times past, I pray for you as you vulnerably, honestly, and courageously move forward on your journey.

I made several attempts at doing justice to The Madonna. Alas, so be it. But what I noticed was that the two dots of light by Her right shoulder appear in every image.

I took the next photo of the 'weed on ice' on Theo Wirth Lake last Saturday when it was 60º in Minneapolis. As you say, God is everywhere.
