  • You work so hard to replace bad habits with good ones. Then life comes knocking at your door, you get a little busy and before you know it, you have all sorts of opportunities to make excuses and backslide and then what's the use. You have blown it already, might as well start again on Monday.

That has been my week ... but then, if you are paying attention, you might see some reasons why you shouldn't wait till Monday. I had the pleasure of escorting my daughter (blonde on the left) to the Daddy Daughter dance over the weekend. I didn't dance with her because (evidently at her age) it is all about friends and I was simply responsible for her shoes. That was my job, don't lose the shoes.

I was dejected at first. This is the Daddy Daughter dance and I am sitting on the wall like I am back in high school. Talking to another Dad I mentioned my distraught about being the shoe boy. He reminded me that is what it is all about. You are in their corner ready to do whatever she needs you to do. Just then, his older daughter came back to him and asked him to dance. 4 years of Daddy Daughter dances and he finally gets his chance to dance.

This is why I can't wait till Monday. If I keep waiting till Monday, I may never get my chance to dance.

Thanks for letting me hold your shoes Ashley...Daddy loves you!
