  • One of the things I love about Buenos Aires is that it is so green. It may have been the most polluted city on earth had it not been for the city planner's intention to maintain an average of close to 20 trees per city block, not to mention the many parks, plazas, and playgrounds.

Looking out of my balcony, I can see the Rio de La Plata, as clear as a bell. Nights, I can see the sunset, the moon rise, and a sky full of stars. Smack in the middle of the city! On this day, after a hard rain, this beautiful rainbow sprouted, one of many I've enjoyed from my perch.

The intruding concrete hid the pot of gold. But the treasure was outside my window.
