  • I joined the Leap Year Project a week ago, after a sudden epiphany - I don't want to go back to teaching after having my daughter, I want to take a bold, brave risk, working for a new theatre company. This new theatre company so happens to be my husband's bold, brave risk, and hey, if he's taking one, then why not me too? Well, says that Scared Little Voice in my head, It's not exactly financially-viable just yet is it? And you're leaving a stable, well-paid, reasonably pleasant job for something so uncertain?

    Scared Little Voice aside, it really is a big risk I'm taking, and I definitely worry about having enough money for my family's day-to-day expenses. But I just know that if I don't allow myself the opportunity to try this big dream out now, I never will. So here goes.
