  • While in Dublin, Ireland a few years ago, my sponsor for the trip suggested we go to the zoo.

"Really? We're going to the zoo? Why?" I asked.

My sponsor smiled and said, "Just wait and see."

When we got there we walked to the chimpanzee exhibit and waited for the zookeepers to come over carrying boxes of Glenisk Organic Yogurt - my sponsors product. The Dublin Zoo enforces a strictly organic diet for the chimps and they add all types of variety for them to eat including yogurt.

I watched as the zookeepers tossed the containers of yogurt over for the chimps. Within seconds they had the containers open and licked every last bite of it up; they loved yogurt. After the chimps are done eating the yogurt they leave the containers on the ground and the zookeepers come by and recycle them.

I watched with fascination because the animals delighted in variety and change. We, as humans, tend to eat the same thing over and over. Perhaps we all need a bit of variety ourselves, particularly healthy variety with no chemicals.

I will try to change the variety of food I eat in the spirit of the Dublin Chimps. What about you?
