  • Today, a film crew from the local NBC station is coming to my house to film an interview about Cowbird.

I've often considered myself a rarity amongst programmers, I'm normally able to handle public speaking while covering up any nervousness. I hope the same will hold true today. But I am definitely very nervous. I've never been on TV before.

I know that most likely this will just end up being a 30 second feel good spot on local news. It's not that big of a deal. It could even happen that I don't even end up on TV, or they take a quick shot of the back of my head as I sit at my computer "working on a new Cowbird feature."

It doesn't seem to be helping though. I get more nervous each hour, I had trouble sleeping, and I can't stop picturing what my face will look like in High Definition. Maybe this was a slightly less scary proposition before HD. Maybe not. At this point, I'll be happy when it's over!

(Picture is in my dining room, the backdrop I think would look nice for the interview)
