  • While waiting for the 2016 new year fireworks, convinced my son to imagine we're camping - fire and forest, transfixed at the idea that the light show would come any minute, all to avert boredom. And then asked the boy to take a nap, two hours before the year ended.

    As a boy, I learned that imagination can relieve the bored mind, and I try not to use that b word as it is akin to saying I'm tired of breathing.
