  • Being alone is a good skill to have. Sit
with the idea, the reality of having no
one else present. Show up all the way
    without feeling isolated or lonely.
    Grow, expand, challenge yourself.

    Without desolation, but inner calm
I find the old wounds softening without
a TV laugh track on in the background.
I read, write and color in with colored
    pencils in search for inspirations.

Traveling alone is the best exercise
in this realm. New place, different hotel.
I take a warm bath and fall asleep to
thunder, lightning then rain falling from the sky.

I wake to snow coating the sidewalks like
a thin layer of insulation that muffles the
traffic to the point I hear birds. And the
distance I seek opens between the woman
the world sees and the one in my imagination.
What matters of concern now, will vanish like snow.
