  • It is really disturbing to see lives being lost left and right to gunmen so often that it has somehow become the new normal.

When did hate get so rooted in our everyday lives that we feel justified to pull the trigger on another life. Some say too many guns are to blame, I think HATE in people is to blame. I think ISOLATION is to blame.

Being alive isn’t guaranteed although the last time I checked, being shot dead for differing beliefs isn’t a natural cause of death. Nothing is scarier than the thought that one might not make it through the day because someone is rubbed the wrong way by another’s way of life. Not to be or sound grotesque but it seems that’s the new normal, if normal ever exists.

Hug your loved ones a bit longer, tell and show your loved ones you care. Genuinely smile at a stranger, find a connection with your ‘neighbour’. Show genuine care to all regardless. Be an example. Set the course for change.

I don’t know the answer but I believe in human connection and human touch as a much needed healing component in today’s world.
