Thanks and giving.
Went to my cycle-in class and it was free with a donation to the local food bank. I get a little stronger each class and I'm grateful for that. Good health is something to be grateful for. Later I'll stop in and see one of my elderly patients who moved into assisted living this week. I helped him pack up his mobile trailer last weekend, breaking one of my own rules of keeping appropriate boundaries. But the older I get the more I think, "Oh, the hell with it." Plus maybe when I'm his age I'll hope someone will return the favor.
My husband and son are in another state as I was staying home to work since I requested time off at xmas. But there isn't enough work so they let me off early yesterday and there may be no work tomorrow. If they had told me in advance I could have left yesterday and been with family today, but my work is not that considerate.
So ... plans for today: cycle-in class (check), John Wayne marathon (yah!), visit my (former) patient, and a lovely turkey TV dinner later.
Not a bad day overall, not bad at all.
Love y'all. Yippee and giddy up.
Enjoy your day too.
Ps. Isn't this tree lovely?
