  • Have you ever wondered what life after death would be like? I’ve had a dream that led me to think that it could be pure sadness. so there i was, walking the dog with my mother. We were talking when I heard a car speeding while we were crossing the street. I looked, to see headlights speeding toward me as i push my mother and dog out of the way. I blacked out. The next time I woke up, was in a hospital. I heard my mother and father crying at the foot of my hospital bed, then I blacked out again. Then I woke up in a church. I looked around to see many others sitting around me. these other people, I've never seen them before. They all sat and stared at the altar, as a women dressed as if she were a lawyer walks to the stand and tells us, “Welcome to your new life”. Then everyone began crying. I figured out that I had died in a car accident and that I was in purgatory. The women told us that the only way we were to pass judgment was to get something from your past that is of value and that a loved one has in their possession. As I walked through the church doors into the blinding white light, I find myself on a cruise ship. My parents and younger brother were relaxing and talking to each other, as if I never died. My mother turned to me. With tears in their eyes, they gave me a warm hug. I began to cry. I explained what happened to me and what I needed to pass judgement. My mother pulled out a small plush dinosaur toy I had since i was 5 years old. As I said goodbye for the final time, the ship crashed into something. I fell into the pitch black water holding on to the relic. Gasping for air, I swam to the surface. As I got to the surface, two people in white, glowing robes helped me out of the dark ocean. As I got out of the water, I heard a voice say “ where's Mom?”. I turned to see my younger brother standing behind me. Then the next morning, I woke up in tears.
