  • I can sense the impending shorter days and today’s dark clouds remind me of the last October snow. Was it only last year?

I feel the coldness of the winter coming, the wish to be inside, wrapped up in my father’s old poncho, reading a book by the fire. And Summer slips away as if it handnt even come.

I was so comfortable in my solitude until I saw his eyes, and as the fall arrives and takes me back inside I wonder: the blue moon, was it just another dream?

The summer heat that hung around that lovely night has come and gone. When the snow decides to cover up the greens and the reds and the yellows, will it also cover up my heart and put it back where once it thrived, alone?
