  • I see a student several times a week as part of her senior experience. This is a program through the high school where students work with someone in the community to answer a question about something they are interested in doing for a career. My student's is interested in being a jeweler, I am a jeweler, and her question was 'Can I make a living as a jeweler.' Our goal together over 200 hours is to jewelry answer that question. I suggested we do a collaborative piece for a show, titled: 'Black, White and Red All Over' at the gallery I myself show at, Isalos Gallery in Stonington, Maine The show was a Valentine Show and our piece is a kinetic ring titled: Love is Blind. The wearer cranks the crank and the Blindfolded bull on top runs in directions unknown.
