  • Usually we drink our coffees before walking the dog.

But then there are the days when we've just run out of time… We slept in, or just felt lethargic, but we still have to get to work. The precious java gets poured into travel mugs and we bundle ourselves and the now-manic dog outside for walkies. The coffee must be drunk and the dog must do her business. The sips feels like warm embraces from the inside, especially on a cold snowy morning. Mugs are drained, the morning fog lifts, the caffeine performs the synaptical magic our addiction anticipates. Steps and conversation quicken and then, the day seems somehow more achievable. We're up to speed and the dog has peed. Two birds with one stone.

Now off to work, snow be damned.
