  • Sky Hunter

Her name was Queryn. It had come to her in a dream the night before, and she felt comfortable with it. It fit better than her old name, the one she had already forgotten.

Queryn had always known she wanted to be a falconer, not a seamstress. But for years she had honed her skills, sewing and mending beautiful garments for those who barely acknowledged her.

Now it was time she lived her dream. The falconer.
But before taking on that responsibility and honor, to be the guardian, protector and companion to her falcon, she had to learn, and to live, the falcon.

That night, she gathered all the remnants of the beautiful silks and threads she had saved, and made herself a beautiful dress. At the break of dawn she put it on, and flew.
