Today I woke up to a chilled room and the glass a bit crystallized on the window. I peer outside to see the mess that mother nature has put us in again. I expect the worst because mother nature usually isn't the nicest to us here in Minnesota but to my surprise, it was absolutely beautiful. The trees were dusted with the white powder as well as the roof tops of buildings. I couldn't ask for a better day except the fact that the temperatures had risen when the sun came up and now she is making us endure the rain instead of snow.
However the snow and the rain brought people together. On my campus there are a lot of students from Washington (state) and they were reminded of home. That was comforting to them as well as myself because we could be together in a place so far away from their home yet we were able to bring a little bit of Washington here for them.
