  • Like my apartment, my garage is elderly - approaching 80, 90, 100 years old.

    Its walls were sturdily built out of cedar planks, although the roof needs replacing.

    And the cedar doors, like this one, are so old I fear they are unreliable. I'm afraid if I ever pulled it down, it might never go back up again.

    And so it hovers above my car when it's home, and waits patiently for my car to return, when it's gone.

    And looks beautiful, in the dim half-light.
