  • There is a cold wind today, on this day between. It brought snow this morning, which soon turned into rain, but the wind is still cold enough to freeze the tears it forces from my eyes.

Sadness is not part of the picture.

Hope, on the cusp of a new month.
    Faith, in Spring's imminent arrival.
Concern, for the Winter without snow.

    Impatience, notwithstanding faith and hope.
A wish to leave the country.
    But to which country?

My legs long to leap, on this leap day in this leap year, to bound up and out and off into the new.
    Whatever new will be.
