  • City skunks and Country skunks, in my opinion, are two different creatures. While both have a silky black coat and a wild white stripe down their back, they represent different things.

City skunks are representative of an urban sprawl which has all but left them homeless as cities have reached out and swallowed the animal's home whole.. So, on the occassion when they spray in town, it's pronounced a "nuisance... kill the bastards! " It's on the news and there is an outcry of the people. "What about rabies?" It was their land first. where are they to go? where are they to spray?

The country skunks spray their enemies and it's the "true call of the wild", the natural habitat and the natural way to protect themselves. i love the distant skunk smell
That, to me is the smell of the country. That is where i live. that's where i call home.
